Cacao Circle
in the Mayan Community of Tres Reyes
We gather to share and open our hearts as our ancestors once did, through the sacred seed of cacao.
We welcome you to our Cacao Circle in the community of Tres Reyes, a space for connection, gathering, and openness guided by the wonderful cacao seed. Surrounded by nature and the peaceful energy of the jungle, we will share an ancestral experience filled with tradition, intention, and community.
We will begin by presenting the purpose of the gathering and briefly introducing each participant in the circle. Afterwards, we will give thanks to the cacao seed and share part of its ancestral history, its traditional use among Indigenous cultures, and the qualities and virtues that make it a sacred plant.
During the experience, we will connect directly with the cacao seed, drinking cacao with the intention of nourishing the body, opening the heart, and sharing from an authentic and conscious space.
Together, all participants will take part in the traditional cacao-making process: roasting the seeds, peeling them, and grinding them on a metate, transforming cacao into chocolate through a beautiful collective alchemy until obtaining handcrafted chocolate paste.
As the process unfolds, we will prepare tea with the cacao husks, share songs, words, and meaningful moments of connection within the circle.
Finally, we will share together the chocolate prepared during the experience, accompanied by a special intention and purpose.
The experience lasts approximately 3 hours, depending on the number of participants.
We provide all the necessary elements and instruments for the activity.
Contribution: $500 MXN per person

Cacao has long been considered a sacred seed by many Indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica, especially by the Maya people, who used it as food, medicine, and spiritual offering. Traditionally, cacao has been associated with opening the heart, emotional connection, introspection, and community gathering.
More than a “cacao ceremony,” this sacred seed was traditionally shared in spaces of coexistence, gratitude, and connection with nature and community.
Out of respect for ancestral traditions and the original culture of cacao, we prefer to call this gathering a Cacao Circle, honoring its authentic essence as an experience of unity, listening, and shared presence.
